A comparative energy analysis of idealized cycles using an ammonia-water mixture for combined power/cooling

چکیده

The Goswami combined power/cooling cycle is an appropriate way to convert energy efficiently. However, in the conventional (CGC), refrigeration not available when absorber temperature high. In present study, a mechanically driven compressor used compress vapors leaving turbine. This design creates line independent of temperature. An idealized approach was with assumptions adopted by Goswami. As result, under same typical operating conditions, thermal efficiency novel 27.52% net useful effect 135.2 kW, while CGC 23.54% 99.47 kW. Moreover, at equal total heat input, working fluid mass flowrate less than CGC. Ultimately, limits highlighted were overcome which allows availability regardless increase advantage, improved efficiency, suggests short-to-medium-term payback time additional investment cost added components and long-term profitability system.
